Two actions in the district court for St. Louis county, one on behalf of John Squillace, Jr., a minor, by his father and natural guardian, to recover for injuries sustained by plaintiff after alighting from a school bus, alleged to have been the result of defendants negligence in the maintenance of one of its sidewalks and streets; and the other by the father on his own behalf to recover for medical expenses incurred. The cases were tried before Edward Freeman, Judge, and a jury, and verdicts of $20,500 and $2,500 respectively were returned for the minor and for his father. From the judgments entered, defendant appealed.
